Questions about GPS systems?
What is the best: Garmin, Tom Tom, Mio, or something else? Is there a monthly fee that is required to use? Where do you install them in the car? The dashboard, windshield? Thank you for your responses.
I had a Garmin for a couple of years and highly recommendable. Mio is low end stuff, the TomTom I hear is a good system. But I can only recommend what I know for sure the Garmin is good. They have interesting features like being able to add custom points of interest ie. Starbucks, HD dealerships etc. So when you travel, you get what you want. And if you realize he does not come with the most updated maps that will send you a DVD with the latest maps for free, I have heard bad stories about other brands that come with old maps and want to pay dearly for newer cards.
