What GPS system should I buy for my car?
I was wondering I want to buy a GPS for my car and I want a laptop that I can hide in my car or take it with me. I'm torn between 3 brands, Tom Tom, Magellan, Garmin and I was wondering which was the best brand to buy? I not looking to spend 700 or something like that, I prefer one that has free updates to the map though.
Garmin is # 1 in the USA, cards are best and most accurate and current. Tom Tom is # 2 so I do not think I could consider Magellan. I have heard really good things about TomTom 720 and 920. and all the Garmins are good. I had a Garmin for several years and is a really good GPS, and I bought one for my TomTom daughter and he has some things more fun than my Garmin does not like downloading celebrity voices to use instead of the boring voice that accompany It has Darth Vader, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Yoda, etc. So I think I have a Garmin if you want the best GPS and if you want a real GPS is a little more fun get the TomTom. If you want the best value in obtaining a new GPS TomTom ONE 3rd Edition is the best in its class and you can find for $ 150. The Garmin GPS 200 is a very nice but the cheapest you will find it is $ 200
