Why is not my Lexmark X1270 to scan and copy?
I have a Lexmark X1270. It will print but not scan or photocopy. Every time I try scan or copy a small window pop up that says "Preparing for Lexmark all in one for the first use, the search scan applications please wait. "After a while the screen turns blue and displays an error message that I couldnt read because auto restart after when the screen goes blue. But it says something like 'There was an error, check your hardware or software is properly installed "Please can someone help? Thanks Thanks for the answers, but I do not think is the solution. I tried it on my PC friends and seems to work. there must be something missing in my PC. Does anyone know what could be? I have tried to download a driver but it still doesn't work. Maybe reinstall Windows would work But I will not do that. There must be another way.
This sounds like the device driver (software) has been flakey. Disconnect from the PC 1270 and then uninstall ALL the software associated with it. Restart your PC. Reinstall software and connect the 1270 when the installation tells prog.
