There have been lots of rumors lately about the new electronic book reader launched by Amazon. The most popular e-book reader around has been the launch by Sony.
The price difference
One of the major differences that really stands out among the E-Book Reader Sony and Kindle is the difference enormous price. There is a huge difference with the $ 100 Sony Reader is priced at 300 USD and Kindle to have a price of 400 USD. While the promises Sony Reader number of free features like free view PDF files, you do not need Internet access, free access to blogs and RSS feeds and even a memory card included in the welcome kit, this reader from Sony, sure has a lot of Upsides to it. However, Kindle is not far behind that with the ability to contain more 200 titles and an SD card slot that comes with it. However, you have to pay $ 1 for each blog and RSS, respectively, which is a bit expensive.
The format
While the Sony Reader lets you view PDF files without cost, the Kindle charges a fee of 10 percent of all PDF files on the device synchronization. Kindle also tends to read HTML, text formatting and images from the SD card, but not too well with the DOC, RTF and PDF. But again, even the Sony Reader can not DOC formats read directly.
E-Ink technology
On the 6-inch LCD screen are lit, the screen uses the revolutionary electronic ink technology using 'Vizplex film' on the surface. However, both the Sony Reader and the Kindle has used the same technology. The positive side of this technology is that 40% of the received light is deflected and use of reflected light rather than transmission that makes both devices easy on the eyes.
Printability
No need to print any document, because Kindle offers portability in taking over all personal documents anytime anywhere, thus eliminating the need for printing. The charge of 10 cents applies for wireless transfer of Word documents. Without But if users do not want to shell this rate, the free transfer might be used. For this, the file or attachment must be sent to 'name' @ Free.kindle.com where name is the identifier used for your Kindle email address. So if the Kindle email ID is href = "mailto: smith@kindle.com "> smith@kindle.com then the attachments should be sent to smith@free.kindle.com and then the file is converted and e-mail to the associated Amazon account.
Battery
The Amazon Kindle is by far the best choice when it comes to battery life. You can go for four days without having to download the Kindle. Moreover, this is good network coverage in almost any area than it does to preserve the property. Turning the pages is as easy a click of a button which means that even if you're reading the e-book in the bed, operation of the Kindle is much easier than the Sony Reader.
