Performance Tuning Windows XP – Windows XP could be one of the best-selling versions of Windows and has received a lot of negative comments during launch too. However, a lot of patches have gone along that eventually established that the users seem to be hostile at first. Others are closing down XP a pain when in fact it takes longer to boot up shutting down. One of the most popular settings you can do is this: try to go to the Windows Registry, go to the command line (Start> Run) and type "regedit" then enter. This should implement the registry. Find the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" line then go to Control Panel and desktop. Find the "AutoEndTasks" entry and then double-click it. Change the value from 0 to 1. Try restarting after this performance tune Windows XP and that should do the trick.
