Today's cars are equipped with many safety innovations, designed to save lives and provide protection for occupants. Safety belts, impact sensors, air bags and side air bags are all tied together by computer to your car in one system. There are literally hundreds of components of this system and they all work in perfect harmony to provide protection. However, the shenanigans around with inside your car can trigger your light air bag (SRS light on some vehicles). Know what this may mean is the first step in treat.
While you may not be bothered by that annoying light on your dashboard is still lit, the problem may be more than just a nuisance. That little light can mean simply many things. For example, most manufacturers have their system configuration with sensors seatbelt. If one of these sensors fails, the light in your dashboard lights. Similarly, if a sensor shock was not possible (or disconnection), the light illuminates. If your bag of air traffic control unit (SRS unit for some cars) fails or experiences an interruption signal, the light may illuminate. So with all these possible meanings, what is the first thing you should do?
The first thing to do is think about what you did in the car before the fire was lit. At least 50% of incidents air bag light is due to something the owner of the car was inside or outside the vehicle. For example, if you installed a new racing seat, or had your seat for any reason, you would have had to unplug the wire harness under the seat and the sensor in the seatbelt. This is probably the No. 1 cause of the appearance of air bag light. Check behind you and make sure you have connected all the harness correctly. In addition, since the car or even turn the ignition switch on when there are components SRS disconnected can trigger the light on your dashboard.
