So you've decided to launch satellite radio in your car. You've bought your new satellite radio and it is now time to finally established. If you feel overwhelmed, do not worry – it's actually much easier than you think.
You must first determine the type of connection used by your car. If your radio has an FM transmitter, then you can make a wireless connection. If not, you'll need to directly connect the radio to satellite radio in your car. Anyway, it's very easy to connect.
When you open the box of your new radio satellite, you will see the main unit, mount points, rooftop antenna and a loving owner's manual with a installation guide. These are the main points you will receive with a standard satellite radio and all the others who are included will depend on the make and model radio you've purchased.
Steps for installing your satellite radio
The first step in installing your radio is to decide where you will mount the radio. Your radio device can be attached to the windshield by suction cup or dash with Velcro. If you mounting your Dashboard, hold it up to the place you want, while ensuring it is free of obstructions before fixing the Velcro. Configuring a wireless connection

The default FM transmitter uses is 88.1, which may not work for your area. You want a station that shows all the radio stations local – if you drive between two domains is a good idea to find a station that is free in both areas. Once you've determined the station you will use, save your presets to make your satellite radio can easily be solved with just the touch of a button.
With a direct connection
If your satellite radio does not have an FM transmitter, you will be connecting with either a cassette adapter for your car radio (lower), or the AUX IN or LINE IN connections on your car (better quality). If your device model does not with the cassette adapter or audio cable you need, stop by your local electronics store and purchase one that works with your device.
Insert the cassette adapter into your cassette player to your car stereo, or connect the audio cable into the AUX IN / LINE IN connection. Then plug the other end into the AUDIO / LINE OUT connection on the back of your satellite unit. Finally, set your car radio to the AUX setting to listen to your satellite radio.
Listening to your satellite radio for the first time
After everything connected, turn on your new device and follow the instructions on screen to complete the setup process. Once you're done, you'll be able to enjoy your new satellite radio for the first time!
