If you're like me, you know the dangers of using your cell phone while driving. With this guide comparing GPS Bluetooth you can learn all about the best GPS receivers support Bluetooth technology. Now you can know not only where you go, but to get there and more safely.
There are three main manufacturers of GPS receivers, Garmin, Tom Tom and Magellan. There are others but these are the industry leaders. All three have great GPS devices that support Bluetooth technology for hands-free calling.
In this article I will talk briefly of some of the products each company offers that supports Bluetooth. The idea is after reading this article, you'll be better prepared for the purchase a compatible Bluetooth GPS receiver.
Just so you know, I'my understood my opinions in this article. This is not supposed to be impartial. I run a website authority which GPS I can see what people actually buy GPS receivers. So I think I have a kind row of front seats that people love.
Magellan
Magellan is a great company! They make a great product! I particularly like their Maestro line.
In the Maestro line they have two receivers Bluetooth, the 3250 and 4250. These are exactly the same except the 4250 is the big screen release. It features a 4.3 inch screen rather than the norm of 3.5 inches. (That's measured diagonally, by the way.)
Both devices are excellent. They include maps of the United States and Canada, over 6 million points of interest and AAA Tour Book integration for those are members of the AAA.
Currently, the 3250 sells for about $ 200 and the 4250 sells for about $ 250. Personally, I'd pay $ 50 extra for the big screen. But this is only my opinion.
Garmin
Garmin is the leading manufacturer of GPS receivers in the world! They offer a wide range of products. I especially like their Nuvi line.
The nuvi are newer on the market, replacing the older StreetPilot (which is still a great GPS, by the way).
The nuvi that support Bluetooth are the 360 and 370, the 660,670,680, the 760, 770, 780, 880 and 5000.
The 300 line is the smallest screen 3.5 inches. For the larger screen of 4.3 inches, you'll have to spring for the line 600 or higher. The new nuvi 5000 has big huge 5.2 inch screen!
What line 600 and above offers over 300 is the FM transmitter capability, where you can get the transmission of GPS receiver through the system audio from your car. The 700 line above and offers multi-point routing. You can put in more of a destination and that calculates the route more effective at all.
Personally, I love the Garmin Nuvi line. I think they are a totally awesome, very sleek looking products.
Currently, the line 300 goes a little over $ 200, line 600 just over $ 300. Add $ 50 to that and you have the price range for the line 700. The nuvi 5000 is around $ 650, and 880 is close to $ 1000. (But let me tell you something. If you want really high end line of high technology GPS, or $ 1,000 well spent!)
Tom Tom
Tom Tom is the new kid on the block. But this does not prevent him taking a huge market share of, older more established companies. One way Tom Tom has done it is with providing more products for less money. Furthermore, They were very instrumental in introducing new ideas and technologies.
Tom Tom's GPS Bluetooth support are the Go 510, 720, 730 and 920. The Go 510 does a little under $ 200. It is a direct competitor with the Garmin 360. The Go 920 is between $ 300 and $ 350.
Check the price yourself. They tend to decrease with time.
Tom Tom products offer essentially the same features as Garmin and Magellan.
